M. A. Mac Curfman, PMP
M. A. Mac Curfman is an in-demand professional speaker, trainer, and coach. He has presented over 3,000 speeches and training sessions to global business and government audiences in nearly 20 years.
Mac has built an illustrious and successful 40-year career by serving others! Before his current roles, he served as a senior consultant in a top national consulting firm and as the founder and CEO of a governmental advisory practice. He also spent a decade serving in government as a city manager and as an urban and regional planner.
In addition to his role as Executive Director of Go Global, Mac is the Chief Learning Evangelist for M. A. Curfman Learning, a global training and coaching firm, and the Chief Coffee Guru for Mac’s Java Coffee Roasters, a specialty coffee roasting company.
Mac has been an entrepreneur and a maverick thinker his entire career. His global client list considers him an inventive and transformative business thinker, trainer, speaker, and coach. Mac’s brilliant, straightforward style has become his trademark.

Mac has earned a tremendous reputation as a go-to resource and as a non-conventional problem-solver. In addition to his tremendous range, Mac's deep expertise includes leadership development, organizational development, strategic thinking and planning, project management, sales and marketing, business and personal communication, and business writing.
In addition to his academic credentials from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the University of Maine, he is a certified speaker, trainer, and coach with the Maxwell Leadership Certified Team, and he completed extensive coursework with Dale Carnegie® Training. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and a certified Entrepreneurship and Business Life Coach.
Mac has been married to his college sweetheart, Amanda, for over 38 years, and they have two children. Their daughter is also an entrepreneur; she owns and operates a creative marketing firm and a wedding photography company. Their son is currently attending graduate school to pursue a master’s degree in history.
Well-traveled, Mac thrives in diverse cultures. He has traveled to and worked in 46 U.S. states and territories and in countries on five continents. He loves roasting and drinking coffee, is an avid outdoorsman, and is a bibliophile who reads about 100 books a year.
